Loxopsis seowi (Brock, 1999)
(by Bruno Kneubuehler)

  • I got eggs from a wild-caught female from the Tapah Hills (Peninsular Malaysia)

  • females glue clutches of eggs (up to 50 eggs per clutch) to leaves and branches

  • incubation time (HH-method on slightly moist sand) about 4 months at 20 - 23°C

  • green, hairy nymphs, about 12 mm with long antennae

  • they did not accept any of the offered food plants
  • the natural food plant seems to be Rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum) (info Dr. Francis Seow-Choen)
