- provenience: near a place called Gao Peach (literal translation from Chinese, 高桃), which is in Qinnan, Qinzhou, Guangxi, China
22.038310, 108.471773 (22°02'17.9"N 108°28'18.4"E). Adult females have been caught near a little stream during the night on Guava trees (which are non-native to China) - females are sturdy and ≈ 13 cm long, with a short wings and long cerci
- males are rather delicate, ≈ 10 cm long, medium sized wings and a bluish thorax
- especially older nymphs and adult can reacht rather frantically when being touched
- egg are typical for this genus, roundish, light brown with a blackish capitulum, ≈ 3 x 2.5 mm
- freshly hatched nymphs are about 17 mm long
- incubation about 4 - 6 months at 20 - 24°C
- we have kept older nymphs and adults at a humidity of about 75%
- spray regularly but let the water dry up before you spray again
