• from Ranomafana NP, Madagascar
• quite easy to breed, if the food plants are available
• food plants
  • privet (Ligustrum spp.) 
    only Ligustrum vulgare has been accepted rather well, but this wild Ligustrum looses the leaves in winter
    well accepted by nymphs and adults
  • Salal (Gaultheria shallon)
    well accepted by adults, not tested with nymphs
• female ≈ 8 cm, males ≈ 6 cm
• eggs just drop to the ground
• the hairs are not yet visible on freshly laid eggs, these expand when the eggs are exposed to a humid substrate
• incubation (Cup-Incubation-method) about 3 - 4 months at 20 - 24 °C
• nymphs grow up very well in a cage with a moderate humidity
